Gaios, Paxoi, Greece

Gaios is the main port of the island of Paxoi, smallest of the Ionian Islands. From its beautiful natural harbor, visitors may wander the narrow lanes of the town and visit its many shops or search out the 15th century fortress left by the Venetians. Most of Paxoi’s landscape is covered in olive groves, but steep white cliffs dominate its coastline, offering many extensive cave systems for exploration.
