Fiji consists of more than 500 small islands scattered throughout the South Pacific. Most of the islands were formed by volcanoes and the scenery here, filled with volcanic peaks, winding rivers, rolling hills and lush rain forests, is magnificent. Most ships dock at Viti Levu, Suva or Lautoka. Some city tours are offered, but most tourists prefer to take a day-trip to one of the unspoiled outer islands.
